Through our fundraising efforts, we help ensure youth continue to have access to opportunities that support their growth and success.
Sports
We provide the necessary funds for registration fees, tournament or competition participation, coaching and training. By removing financial obstacles, we inspire participation and open doors to life-changing experiences in sport.
Arts
From music and visual arts to dance and performance, we support the creative outlets that help our youth find their voice and build self-assurance.
Education
We invest in learning, tutors, adventure camps, leadership camps and school clubs that remove financial hurdles to academic and personal growth.

Our story began with a single act of local generosity. When financial barriers threatened Emily Brydon’s promising ski career, a Fernie family stepped up with a life-changing gift. That support changed everything—propelling her to three Olympic Games and a world-class ski career. In 2006, Emily founded the EBYF to ensure that no child’s potential is limited by their financial circumstances. We believe asking for help is a brave step toward opportunity.

over $1 million back into the heart of the Elk Valley.

The Emily Brydon Youth Foundation strives to bring opportunity to the youth in the Elk Valley, including Fernie, Elkford and Sparwood by assisting individuals and families.
Our support model is built on matching the financial means with a youth’s dreams, ambitions and desires. We believe that every child deserves equal opportunity.
